Bruce Windsor Thompson is Adjunct Faculty at the
California Institute of Integral Studies, where he teaches Ecological Economics. Bruce has worked in corporate finance and as a professional economist for various major financial institutions and consulting firms, as well as testified as an expert on these matters in class action law suits (including the Exxon Valdez oil spill). He serves as Treasurer of the Strong Foundation for Environmental Values and works as an activist with several environmental organizations. His passion is now researching, speaking, and writing about ways to connect the dots between economics, cosmology, and the environment as a path toward a more sustainable and satisfying future for humanity. He received his M.A. in Economics from Stanford University in 1983 where he studied under former Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke as well as a Nobel Laureate economists and Presidential economic advisers. He has since balanced this orthodox training with an M.A. in Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness from C.I.I.S. in 2004.
